The problem
Why this product needed to exist
Public reporting on layoffs was fragmented; analysts needed one place to compare totals by industry, funding stage, company, metro, and month.
The product we built
Our approach and the experience we designed
We consolidated the dataset into Tableau with a world map, timelines, and ranked lists—calling out leaders such as Meta and Amazon alongside industry totals (for example consumer and retail).
