The problem
Why this product needed to exist
The Ministry of Health & Population needed a reliable way to manage the national organ waiting list and ensure fair, transparent allocation decisions. Existing manual and fragmented processes made it difficult to track patients, apply complex medical criteria, and provide up-to-date visibility for clinicians and coordinators.
The product we built
Our approach and the experience we designed
We partnered with the Human Organ Transplant Coordination Committee to design and build a centralised Organ Waiting & Transplant System. The platform captures structured patient data, medical criteria, and organ availability, and presents prioritised waiting lists and dashboards for coordinators. A modern web interface built with React and Next.js sits on top of a secure Django-based backend and scalable infrastructure, with role-based access for hospitals, administrators, and policymakers.
How we shipped it
- 1Problem definition & policy alignment
Worked with ministry officials and clinicians to understand existing allocation policies, legal constraints, and data requirements, then translated them into system requirements.
- 2Design & prototyping
Designed UX flows and dashboards that surface the most critical information for coordinators and hospital users, iterating with stakeholders to validate usability.
- 3Development & training
Implemented core modules for patient registration, waiting list management, reporting, and dashboards, and supported onboarding and training for hospitals and central coordinators.
